Labour Court amends study support recommendation for Letterkenny college worker

The Labour Court upheld a recommendation in a dispute between Letterkenny Regional Technical College and the Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union, but amended the practical support proposed for a worker studying for an MBA. The decision was dated 4 June 1997. The Court decided the worker should receive six days’ leave in full and final settlement of his claim. He had sought flexibility to attend lectures in Derry and offered to make up the hours. The College had appealed the earlier recommendation, while the union supported the worker’s request.
