In 1995, the Labour Court rejected a worker’s appeal against a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation concerning alleged unfair dismissal and upheld the recommendation. The decision was signed on 3 May 1995. The Court noted that the appellant did not respond to an invitation to attend the hearing. The Rights Commissioner had found no dismissal took place and recommended that the worker accept that he had not been dismissed. DM Paper Limited said the worker had declined its full-time offer and left voluntarily.
