In 1991, the Labour Court left unchanged a Rights Commissioner's recommendation rejecting a union claim for an unnamed Dublin Bus worker to receive inspectors' pay for desafing work. The decision was signed on 28 June 1991. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union argued the worker had performed desafing duties successfully and had reason to expect the inspector's rate. Dublin Bus said he had not qualified as an inspector and knew the desafer rate when applying. The Court found no grounds to alter the recommendation.
