In 1989, the Labour Court upheld a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation that Beech Park Golf Club offer a worker £600 in full and final settlement, along with a suitable reference. The decision was signed on 10 October 1989. The bar manager said he was asked to resign and denied receiving a warning about stock control. The Club said stock discrepancies and failures in bar procedures led it to seek his resignation. The worker appealed after the Club failed to implement the recommendation. The Labour Court found no basis to alter the recommendation and upheld it.
