In 2004, the Labour Court recommended that Enniscorthy Town Council concede a worker’s claim for the craft foreman rate of pay. The decision was signed on 12 August 2004. The worker had performed Town Foreman duties since December 1998 but received the Assistant Craft Foreman rate. The Court found no material difference between the worker’s duties and those of a craft foreman, and no justification for the different rate. It said the recommendation was limited to the facts of this case.
