The Labour Court rejected a worker’s appeal and upheld the Rights Commissioner’s recommendation to reduce her final written warning to a written warning. The Court dated its decision 12 December 2002. The worker, a trucker employed by Cadbury Ireland Limited for 22 years, said she had not refused an instruction and that the final warning was too severe given her unblemished record. The company said she failed to follow an instruction, stopping its palletising plant. The Labour Court agreed with the Rights Commissioner’s findings and recommendation.
