An unnamed 17-year-old was sentenced to life detention for Urantsetseg Tserendorj’s murder at the Central Criminal Court on 20 February 2023, with a review after 13 years.
Tserendorj was stabbed on a walkway between George’s Dock and Custom House Quay in Dublin on 20 January 2021. The teenager was found guilty by a jury after a retrial in November 2022.
The judge also ordered probation reports leading to a final report on 11 January 2034. The teenager may apply for parole after 12 years; the review arrangement does not prevent an application.
