This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Mark Lee and Anthony Delappe were sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering Josip Strok. The Central Criminal Court also sentenced Lee to six years for assault causing harm to David Druzinec and Delappe to three years for that assault; both terms run concurrently with their life sentences.

The judge said Lee acted on hearsay when he attacked Strok from behind. She said Delappe, who was one week past his 18th birthday at the time, was provoked by inaccurate information from Lee and that his offence was not aggravated by hatred.

Connor Rafferty had been acquitted of Strok’s murder. On 24 November, he received a four-year sentence, fully suspended, for assault causing harm to Druzinec, and was warned to comply with strict conditions.
