An Garda Síochána is continuing its investigation into the disappearance and homicide of Daniel Aruebose, who was born on 12 December 2017. This weekend marks one year since Tusla raised concerns about Daniel with Gardaí on 29 August 2025. Daniel lived in The Gallery Apartments in Donabate, Co. Dublin. His remains were discovered in September 2025 and exhumed. A post-mortem was completed, but results have not been released. A homicide investigation was initiated, and over 800 jobs have been conducted, with over 400 statements taken. Two individuals have been arrested but later released without charge. Gardaí are appealing for information from anyone who may have knowledge of Daniel’s disappearance or homicide, particularly those who lived in The Gallery Apartments between July 2019 and the present. The investigation remains ongoing and involves international collaboration.

On 20 August 2026, Gardaí from Store Street Community Engagement, supported by the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau (GNECB), conducted a search of a business premises in Dublin 1 following an investigation into stolen electronic devices. The operation resulted in the recovery of 36 laptops and 40 mobile phones. The devices are undergoing technical examination to identify and return them to their rightful owners. No arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing. Gardaí advise that if a mobile phone is stolen, individuals should contact their service provider to block the SIM and IMEI number and report the theft to their local Garda station.
