The Supreme Court has refused Conor McGregor permission to appeal the Court of Appeal’s dismissal of his challenge to the civil jury’s finding in favour of Nikita Hand. It said the application raised no issue of general public importance and that a further appeal was not warranted in the interests of justice.
The original High Court jury found that McGregor assaulted Hand and awarded her almost €250,000 in damages. The Court of Appeal dismissed his appeal in its entirety and ordered that Hand receive her legal costs against him.
