Stephen Tennant contempt claim struck out by High Court

By Tadhg O'Sullivan

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Stephen Tennant’s contempt of court proceedings were struck out by the High Court on 2 July 2020. The case concerned three properties at Seville Place, off Amiens Street, Dublin, which had been ordered vacated on fire-safety grounds.

The properties had been vacated before the hearing, and Dublin City Council and Mr Tennant agreed the application could be struck out. Mr Justice Charles Meenan struck out the contempt application but declined to vary the existing order requiring the buildings to remain vacant until fire-safety works are completed.
