Jose Alfredo Hernandez Ortega wins horse movement injunction

Jose Alfredo Hernandez Ortega secured temporary High Court injunctions on 2 July 2020 over the alleged unauthorised movement of two horses to Ireland.
The orders prevent the horses being sold or moved from Ireland and require defendants to preserve any semen samples taken from Milton. They also restrict insemination using Milton’s semen and require information about the horses’ and samples’ locations.
The action concerns Milton and Diego, said to be worth up to €4.5m. The court heard that Mr Ortega’s former partner, Martina Romagnoli, asserted an interest in the horses, while the judge found an arguable case for the temporary injunctions.
The matter was due to return before the High Court the following week.
