Robert Redmond and Bernard Fogarty were convicted of murdering Barry Wolverson at the Special Criminal Court on 5 December 2022.

The shooting occurred at Madigan’s Yard, Kileek Lane, Swords, on 17 January 2020. The court also found both men guilty of assault causing harm to Gerard Wildman, and of possessing a lethal firearm and ammunition. In delivering judgment, Mr Justice Michael MacGrath said the evidence left no reasonable possibility that anyone else had been involved in the murder.
