Michael Kinsella is on trial for the murder of Adil Essalhi before the Central Criminal Court. The trial is before Mr Justice Paul Carney.

He pleaded not guilty. The proceedings were reported on 6 February 2014.

The court heard that Mr Essalhi’s body was found in a field in Tyrrelstown, north Dublin, three years earlier. The report said Mr Kinsella was alleged to have been one of two men involved in the murder and an attempt to burn the body with petrol the following day.

The report said Mr Essalhi had been drinking in Dublin before going to an apartment in Tyrrelstown with Mr Kinsella and another man.
