Mark Farrelly and Christopher Corcoran faced no verdict on the €2.28m robbery and false-imprisonment charges at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, reported on 20 December 2013. The jury was discharged after failing to reach a majority verdict, and both men remained on continuing bail.

The charges related to the alleged kidnapping of a Securicor worker’s family in Raheny and the robbery of cash from Paul Richardson and Securicor Security Services Ireland Ltd in March 2005. The retrial followed the overturning of earlier convictions after a Supreme Court ruling on search warrants.

This report covers an earlier stage of the case. Later developments are not reported here.
