John O'Driscoll faces challenge to personal insolvency deal

John O'Driscoll’s personal insolvency arrangement remained in place as Ezeon Entertainment asked the High Court to set it aside, in a matter mentioned on 12 December 2022.

The arrangement had been granted by the Circuit Court in March 2022 and upheld by the High Court on appeal in July. Ezeon, whose shareholders included Ronan O'Gara and Michael O'Flynn, said it had not been notified of the arrangement and had not had a proper opportunity to object.

Ezeon alleged that just over €15,000 in company funds had been misappropriated and that stock was missing. It also disputed how a debt to the company was treated in the arrangement. These were allegations, and the claims were denied.

The High Court adjourned the matter to a date in mid-January so the respondent’s side could prepare a sworn response. The judge said it made sense for the applications concerning the arrangement to be heard together.
