Helen Lucey challenged RZLT inclusion over wastewater capacity

By Tadhg O'Sullivan

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Helen Lucey’s appeal against including her Dunmanway land in the Residential Zoned Land Tax map was recommended for dismissal in an inspector’s report dated 25 August 2023.

The inspector said the land was zoned for residential use and that water and sewer connections were nearby. The report concluded that Dunmanway’s wastewater plant had limited spare capacity, while required infrastructure upgrades related to protecting the Bandon River Special Area of Conservation.

The inspector recommended that An Bord Pleanála confirm the local authority’s determination and direct Cork County Council to include the site on the map. The report records an assessment and recommendation.

This report covers an earlier stage of the case. Later developments are not reported here.
