Hamid Zatout was jailed for six and a half years for four robberies, assault causing harm and attempted robbery at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, reported on 14 February 2023.

The robberies involved designer watches worth between €5,000 and €47,000, taken from victims in Dublin in July and August 2019.

The court was told that Zatout and accomplices followed victims before surrounding them and breaking watch straps to take the watches. In one attack, a victim was also punched and treated in hospital for a bleeding nose and jaw pain.
