Motorist (49) among group of ‘boy racers’ in Louth is disqualified from driving

A 49-year-old motorist has been fined and disqualified for uninsured driving after he was found obstructing traffic in Co. Louth last year.
Paul Kernaghan, Loanda Crescent, Newry, Co. Down did not attend Dundalk District Court having been summonsed following an incident last year.
Gda Ken Bogan gave evidence that on July 19 at Rassan there was a “large congregation of boy racers” causing a disturbance and impeding traffic.
He detected an Audi A4 parked and obstructing traffic from passing by.
No documents for this car were produced by Mr Kernaghan. A fixed charge penalty notice went unpaid.
Judge Nicola Andrews imposed a €501 fine and two-year disqualification for driving without insurance.
Summonses for failing to produce insurance and for parking in a way that endangers, interferes with, or obstructs other traffic were taken into consideration.
