This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Craig Corcoran was sentenced to 27 months for assault causing harm, trespass and obstruction of a peace officer at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, reported on 8 December 2022. Judge Orla Crowe suspended the final six months for two years on strict conditions, including supervision by the Probation Service.

Corcoran pleaded guilty to all three charges. The offences occurred on 17 February 2022 at Empress Place, Dublin 1, where the report said he assaulted his partner in front of their young child and later evaded gardai before his arrest.

The investigating garda agreed that Corcoran could not recall the incident, while defence counsel said he felt great shame, accepted his drug use was the root of his problems, and was sober after efforts to address his addiction in custody. He had also completed an alternatives-to-violence course and submitted an apology.
