This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Bernard Daly, Tiarnan O'Mahoney and Aoife Maguire were unanimously found guilty on all counts concerning attempts to hide accounts connected to former Anglo chairman Sean FitzPatrick from the Revenue Commissioners.

All three had denied the charges. The report was updated on 31 July 2015.

The verdicts were delayed after the Director of Public Prosecutions' office received an anonymous call alleging that the jury foreman's wife was friendly with Aoife Maguire. The foreman denied this when questioned by Judge Pat McCartan. After the verdicts, the judge said the allegation had been shown to be false and apologised for any embarrassment caused to the foreman.

Prosecuting lawyers asked that the defendants remain in the jurisdiction pending sentencing. Lawyers for all three opposed custody, but Judge Pat McCartan ordered that they remain in custody. He said their convictions were the primary consideration. He expressly attributed no responsibility to the defendants for the anonymous call, while saying it demonstrated the mischief that could be created and that he would not take that risk.

Sentencing was initially set for 28 August. After an adjournment allowing defence lawyers to take instructions about an earlier hearing, it was brought forward to noon the following day, described in the report as “tomorrow”. Judge Pat McCartan again refused bail.
