Bernadette Warnock's theft sentencing adjourned for compensation

By Donal Gilhooly

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Bernadette Warnock’s sentencing for theft and fraud was adjourned at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 18 March 2016. She had pleaded guilty to 71 counts involving €116,226 taken from Positive Action Ltd between 2009 and 2011.

Judge Melanie Greally remanded Warnock on bail until October to allow her to raise compensation for a replacement support group. The judge cautioned that the adjournment did not indicate that Warnock would avoid a custodial sentence.
