This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

The jury in the conspiracy-to-defraud trial was sent home on 25 May 2016, with deliberations due to resume the following morning.

The jurors had deliberated for just over 23 and a half hours in the trial of former Anglo Irish Bank executives John Bowe and Willie McAteer, and former Irish Life and Permanent executives Denis Casey and Peter Fitzpatrick. All four denied agreeing to a scheme to mislead depositors, lenders and investors by making Anglo’s corporate deposits appear larger than they were.
