The Labour Court found a technical breach of the construction Registered Employment Agreement’s disputes procedure by L M Developments Limited, after the Building and Allied Trades Union complained that the company had not met with it within the required timeframe. In its decision dated 26 February 2008, the Court said it saw no need for further findings and would make no order. The company said the union had not supplied a current membership list and that it knew of no employee dispute requiring a meeting. The Court noted that a dispute over employment conditions had been resolved after discussions, following a Construction Industry Disputes Tribunal recommendation that the parties engage.
