The Labour Court recommended that the Health Service Executive implement the collective agreement linking 120 Haemovigilance Officers’ pay with Medical Laboratory Scientists. The recommendation was dated 31 July 2026. The Medical Laboratory Scientists Association and INMO represented the officers in a dispute over applying revised pay rates from the National Review for Public Laboratory Scientists. The Court found the 2022 agreement contained no exclusion for the Devine review outcome and said the HSE’s later decision to exclude some officers was contrary to that agreement. The Court recommended that outstanding issues be resolved through prospective Public Sector Pay talks or an agreement.
