The Labour Court recommended two pay increases for 160 Workers represented by SIPTU at BWG Foods after the parties failed to agree a new pay deal. The recommendation was dated 8 July 2026. SIPTU sought two 5% increases. The company proposed 2% for 2025 and 2.5% for 2026, plus an annual €175 Christmas voucher for eligible employees outside its bonus scheme. The Court recommended a 2.5% increase effective from 1 February 2025 and a 3% increase effective from 1 February 2026. It noted the company’s business challenges and that two earlier proposals had been overwhelmingly rejected by union members. Labour Court recommendations under the Industrial Relations Act are not binding.
