The Labour Court recommended a 10% pay increase over three years for Medite workers, along with a higher Christmas cover voucher for employees covering specified shifts. The recommendation was dated 30 June 2026. The dispute followed the expiry of a three-year pay agreement. The union sought a 12% increase, a €200 voucher for all staff and extra annual leave for long-serving workers. Medite proposed a 9% rise and a €200 voucher for employees covering relevant shifts. Connect withdrew from the WRC process before Medite and Connect referred the matter to the Labour Court. The recommended increases are 3.5%, 4% and 2.5% in the three years from 1 March 2025. The Christmas cover voucher rises from €80 to €200 for those required to cover relevant shifts. Workers reaching 40 years’ service receive extra service days under the recommendation, which applies only to active employees.
