Labour Court recommends revised pay scale for 26 HSE perfusionists

The Labour Court recommended that the Health Service Executive apply the revised Medical Scientists’ pay scale to 26 Perfusionists, with retrospective effect from 1 January 2024. The recommendation was dated 13 January 2026. The Perfusionists, represented by Forsa, argued that their pay had been linked to Medical Scientists’ pay since about 1960. The Court found that the agreed linkage had been observed consistently until 2024 and that the HSE unilaterally breached it by applying the revised scale to Medical Scientists but not to the Perfusionists.
