Labour Court recommends Marketstar not concede worker’s redundancy claim

The Labour Court recommended that Marketstar (Aebe Limited) not concede a worker’s claim over her selection for redundancy. The recommendation was dated 29 November 2024. The worker said she had more experience and higher outputs than the other employee in the French region, and questioned the fairness of her selection after raising a bullying grievance. Marketstar said a key client had cut its requirements in the region by 50% and that it considered several indicators, including profitability. It said the other employee was later let go when that role was no longer required.
