The Labour Court recommended that Shannon Airport Authority make good-will payments of €7,000 each to two clerical administration staff and €5,000 to a third. The recommendation was signed on 8 August 2024. The dispute followed the closure of the airport information desk, which ended the three staff members’ shift work and shift premiums. SIPTU sought payments under a cushioning policy for workers moving from shift to non-shift roles. The Court found the workers had not been made aware of the policy when they applied for non-shift positions and recommended the payments to resolve the dispute.
