The Labour Court recommended a four-year pay deal for Approximately 100 Operatives at Kilkenny Limestone. The recommendation, dated 11 April 2024, provides for increases of 3.5% from 2022, 3% in 2023 and 2024, and 2.5% in 2025. SIPTU sought annual increases of 5% over three years, as well as changes to travel arrangements, overtime and employment terms. The Court treated the Old Leighlin overtime issue as settled through harmonisation, recommended keeping current arrangements for transfers between sites, and said the revised handbook and contract agreed by the company and SIPTU should be implemented immediately.
