The Labour Court recommended that IBM and the Financial Services Union (FSU) hold further talks over pay, mileage and standby allowances sought for nine TLS Customer Engineering workers. It said engagement should take place within eight weeks of its recommendation, dated 15 February 2024. The union said it had pursued talks with IBM since June 2022 without resolving the dispute. IBM declined to attend the hearing and sent written submissions, which the Court did not take into account. It recommended that the parties could seek help from the Workplace Relations Commission and jointly refer any remaining issues to the Court.
