Labour Court recommends closing National Ambulance Service worker’s bullying dispute

The Labour Court recommended that a dispute over a worker’s bullying complaint against a colleague be treated as closed and resolved. The recommendation was dated 18 September 2023. The worker wanted the complaint investigated after it was directed to the agreed grievance procedure in April 2022. The colleague had retired and told the employer he would not engage in the matter, and the Court said there was no realistic prospect of resolving the dispute by the employer investigating the allegations. It also recommended that the National Ambulance Service review how the agreed procedures were handled and identify lessons for the future.
