The Labour Court recommended increasing a lump sum for some Siemens Healthineers workers from 1% to 2% and urged the company and Unite the Union to work towards workers reaching 100% of target pay in the year they complete seven years in post. The recommendation was signed on 1 September 2023. The dispute covered about 180 workers. Unite sought a three-year cost-of-living increase and a progression scale, while Siemens Healthineers supported a pay matrix and said its final proposal would add 14.6% to pay costs over three years. The company said it had implemented the increases arising from the WRC proposal. The Court noted that the existing package was weighted towards lower-paid staff and recommended a 2% lump sum for workers earning more than 100% of target pay who qualified for the existing 1% payment.
