Labour Court recommends licence steps and removal of worker’s final warning

The Labour Court recommended that a worker with an expired licence for driving vehicles carrying hazardous material take steps to renew it, with practical support from Laboratory Supplies Ltd T/A Lennox. The recommendation was dated 4 September 2023. The worker had driven regulated cargo without a current licence and had not taken steps to renew it by the hearing. The employer said he could be considered for driving duties again if he obtained a current licence and such work was available. The Court recommended that the final written warning issued in March 2023 expire on 31 December 2023 and be removed from the worker’s file then.
