Labour Court recommends HSE implement pay report for nine Chief Officers

The Labour Court recommended that the HSE implement a job evaluation report for nine Chief Officers of CHO's, with implementation from 1 December 2022. The recommendation was signed on 1 March 2023. Forsa said both sides had accepted the report's higher rate but it had not been implemented, while the Chief Officers continued to carry out the full range of their duties. The HSE argued implementation should go through sectoral bargaining under the Public Service Agreement. The Court noted the HSE could not say when it would pay the agreed rate and recommended implementation under clause 2.7 of the Building Momentum agreement.
