Labour Court recommends €5,000 for worker dismissed without fair procedure

The Labour Court recommended that Clearskin Medical Skin Clinic pay €5,000 compensation to a worker who said she was dismissed without fair procedure. The recommendation was signed on 13 January 2022. The worker said she was dismissed without a right of appeal and found new work at a lower salary. The employer did not attend the hearing, leaving the Court with only the worker’s account. The Court said it was not satisfied the employer had met procedural fairness standards and recommended compensation.
