The Labour Court recommended that Irish Rail place a worker on point 10 of the B96 pay scale from March 2018, instead of point 10 of the J21 scale. It did not recommend a change to the car allowance. The worker sought the package his predecessor had received, with retrospection to 8 December 2017. Irish Rail accepted there had been no discussion before the lower rate was presented to him. The recommendation was signed on 3 December 2019 and settled the issues before the Court.
