The Labour Court recommended that Tusla end a staff allowance from the date its unit stopped operating as a secure unit, and compensate affected staff for loss of earnings under the Public Service Stability Agreement. The recommendation was dated 27 May 2019. Forsa had proposed retaining the allowance for 24 months, followed by a review. Tusla said the allowance was no longer payable because the unit was no longer secure. The Court said it could not recommend continuing an allowance tied to the unit’s secure status after that status ended.
