The Labour Court recommended on 23 May 2017 that Castlebar Credit Union Limited re-table its offer to an unnamed worker who wanted to retain an 18-hour working week. The worker was to have two weeks to choose one of six options in the offer. The Court found the role unsuitable for part-time work or job sharing from a risk-management perspective. If the worker chose part-time work, the credit union was to set the hours with regard to its business needs.
