The Labour Court recommended 2.5% pay increases for three consecutive periods for engineers employed by CHC Helicoptors, following a dispute with Unite the Union over pay, pension contributions and the dispute-resolution procedure. The recommendation was signed on 3 April 2017. Unite had sought 5% increases for each year; CHC Helicoptors had offered a 1% increase from September 2015 and said it could not increase pension contributions. The Court did not recommend a pension contribution increase and asked the parties to re-engage on issues it had not addressed. It also recommended that Unite not progress cost-increasing claims during the recommendation period.
