The Labour Court recommended that Mater Dei Institute pay €8,109.55 in full and final settlement of a dispute with IFUT over employment benefits lost by staff transferring to Dublin City University. The recommendation was signed on 13 March 2017. IFUT argued that the Institute’s €7,000 offer was inadequate given the losses associated with the transfer and pay alignment. The Institute said staff were on the same DCU scales as colleagues and that its offer was fair.
