The Labour Court recommended that K-Tech Security Ltd and a worker engage for six weeks to seek agreement on changes to the worker’s hours. The recommendation was signed on 7 December 2015. The worker, represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, said his contract entitled him to 40 hours’ pay a week and sought €2,632 for unworked hours, as well as pay for a suspension period. The company said it could change hours to meet client needs and that it had paid him for the suspension period. The Court said it could make a definitive recommendation later if the parties could not reach agreement and it was asked to do so.
