The Labour Court recommended that Brinks Security and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union jointly administer the sick-pay scheme for about 21 security officers at the Intel site in Leixlip, set up a designated bank account and seek expert advice on managing the fund. The recommendation was signed on 22 September 2014. The Court found that the employer and employees each contributed €8 per week, in equal amounts regardless of whether they were gross or net. It did not recommend the union's claim that workers receive a 4% pay increase, advising both sides to wait for talks on a new Security Joint Labour Committee employment order before reviewing pay.
