The Labour Court recommended that claimants represented by the Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union retain their existing collective bargaining rights in a restructuring dispute with Aer Lingus. It recommended that negotiations begin and finish by 14 February 2014. The recommendation was signed on 12 December 2013. The Court said there had been no meaningful negotiations on the disputed issues. Any issues still unresolved after the process could be referred back to the Court for a definitive recommendation.
