The Labour Court found no basis to depart from the agreements governing Four Workers’ incremental credit claim against the HSE. The workers had referred the dispute under the Industrial Relations Act and agreed to be bound by the Court’s recommendation. The workers argued that Department of Finance Circular 38/2007 entitled them to incremental credit for acting-up positions. The HSE said its practice was consistent with public service arrangements and cited the Haddington Road Agreement.
