The Labour Court recommended that the Health Service Executive - South pay a worker €2,500 because of delays in processing his grievance. The recommendation was signed on 25 September 2013.
The worker, a social worker in child protection, had also sought reimbursement for private medical expenses and time back for appointments. The Court did not recommend either, noting that the HSE reimbursement scheme covered treatment through public health services and that appointments could be accommodated where possible, with annual leave or time off in lieu otherwise.
