The Labour Court recommended an extended working day from 8am to 8pm for HSE Radiation Therapists, while their existing weekend and public holiday payment agreement should remain until 31 May 2014. The recommendation, dated 19 June 2013, followed a dispute with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union over hours and pay. From 1 June 2014, an hourly rate consistent with related HSE grades should apply. The Court did not recommend ending the €1,800 allowance paid to Radiation Therapists.
