The Labour Court recommended that Trinity College Dublin and the Irish Federation of University Teachers progress disputes over alleged breaches of the Public Service Agreement through its procedures. The recommendation was signed on 21 December 2012. The employer had initially declined to use the procedures but was then ready to engage. The Court said it was inappropriate to address the substantive issues before the agreed process had been followed. It also recommended that relevant parties discuss matters arising from Government decisions with Government and apply the outcome consistently to the claimants.
