The Labour Court recommended that Traffic Supervisors’ pay claim against Veolia Transport Dublin Light Rail Ltd should not be pursued. The recommendation was signed on 30 August 2012. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union argued that additional duties and widening skills gaps between grades justified a basic pay increase. Veolia relied on an independent job evaluation that found no increase was warranted and on a collective agreement that remained in force until 30 September 2014. The Court said the agreement precluded the claim and recommended that it be honoured.
